TOM 2020 T-shirts: Two Oceans Marathon merchandise supports local trade and industry

8 April 2020

Two Oceans Marathon (TOM) NPC today revealed a new range of merchandise, which features a fresh aesthetic and design representing the natural beauty of  Cape Town and the Western Cape.

The locally-produced running apparel capture the visual hues runners experience along the route of the world’s most beautiful ultramarathon in the bold and striking designs and colours.

TOM Race Director Debra Barnes explains: “The opportunity to create a new range of TOM apparel enabled us to ‘walk the talk’ of supporting the local economy.”

“Producing TOM merchandise in South Africa, and particularly the Western Cape – where we have an abundance of CMT skills,” she continues, “further contributes to the socio-economic impact of the event in the region.”

The colours chosen for the range of runner tees celebrates everything that’s iconic and unique about the Two Oceans Marathon. Orange hues of the sunrise in Muizenberg, to the blue of the ocean; and the green of Kirstenbosch to the colours of the rough terrain of the mountain in the trail run tees.

“We hope these jerseys will be worn with pride, as a visible show of support of the local industry and knowing that it represents everything that the Two Oceans Marathon stands for,” says Barnes.
