A Blue Number is awarded to any runner who has completed 10 Ultra or Half Marathons, or Trail Runs; or who has achieved a gold medal in the Ultra Marathon 5 times; or who has won the Half Marathon, Ultra Marathon or Trail Run (any distance) 3 times.
The Blue Number Club was founded and celebrates these runners. A special BNC area is at the registration area as well as on the finish line (subject to any restrictions) on race day. Fellow BNC members can encourage each other before the race and celebrate their achievement on race day.
Permanent numbers are also awarded to all runners who complete 10 or more Half Marathons.
Blue Number Club Dinner
This is always a special occasion for those who have completed 10 or more TOM Ultra or Half Marathons. It is an evening that sees old friends reunite to share stories and reminisce, while new Blue Number holders are welcomed and get to rub shoulders with the icons that have helped to make the Two Oceans Marathon great.
Whenever possible, a Blue Number Club gala dinner is held to celebrate the prestigious achievements of this select group of very special runners.
