The Two Oceans Marathon (TOM) NPC invites community-based organisations and charitable enterprises to apply for project funding as part of the annual support of social impact projects by the Two Oceans Marathon Initiative (TOMI).

The funding is made directly possible by donations from runners who elected to financially contribute to the Two Oceans Marathon Initiative (TOMI) at the time of entering the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon 2022.

Thanks to the generosity of Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon 2022 runners, R103 000 was raised by way of direct donations to TOMI. A further R319 000 was raised on GivenGain for specific charities, and these funds have already been paid to the runner-nominated charities concerned.

TOMI will disburse the total funds received to local and national community-oriented organisations providing support in the spheres of Education, Environmental Sustainability, Health and Wellness, and Athletic Development; the four TOMI pillars.

‘We acknowledge with deep appreciation the tireless efforts of both the care-based community entities who carry out vital social outreach projects, as well as the incredible runners who support the Two Oceans Marathon Beneficiary Programme year after year,’ says race director Debra Barnes.

How to apply for a Beneficiary Grant

Registered community-based organisations working in the areas of Education, Environmental Sustainability, Health and Wellness and Athletic Development and who meet the minimum beneficiary requirements, are invited to apply for funding.

Prospective TOMI beneficiaries should return these completed application forms to tomi@twooceansmarathon.org.za by 6pm on Wednesday, 20 July 2022.

These applications will be assessed by the TOM NPC TOMI Committee and the final beneficiaries will be announced on Wednesday, 27 July 2022.
