Notice to all members of the media
The Western Cape’s most prestigious race, the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM), is pleased to invite applications for TTOM media accreditation. Applications for TTOM 2022 media accreditation open on 3 March 2022.
Interested media may apply for media-specific access to:
- The TTOM 2022 Elite Athletes’ Press Conference – 15 April 2022
- The TTOM 2022 Half Marathon – 16 April 2022
- The TTOM 2022 Ultra Marathon – 17 April 2022
Applications will be accepted until 5pm on Thursday, 31 March 2022.
If your application is granted, kindly collect your media accreditation credentials between 8.30am and 4pm on weekdays from the Two Oceans Marathon office at 125 Main Road, Bergvliet.
Requirements for journalists
Please identify your areas of accreditation preference when applying. Kindly note that spots along the routes themselves are limited.
If you are a freelance journalist, please submit a commissioning letter or brief from your news agency or media outlet, specifying the extent of the access requested.
Note to photographers
Following the International Association of Ultra-runners Organisational Guidelines vs090701 Section 11.3 C protocol relating to an Ultra Marathon finish line, all TTOM 2022 finish line photographers will be positioned in a media area that is 30m from the finish line.
Media truck
After consultations with stakeholders, we regret to inform media members that there will be no press truck along the route. Accordingly, no such accreditation is possible.
