In the highest amount raised for charity in a single year in the history of the Two Oceans Marathon,
big-hearted runners and 4 612 donors raised over R2,6 million in the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon 2024 via direct donations to TOMI and GivenGain, supporting more than 65 organisations and entities dedicated to various social upliftment and philanthropic endeavours.

The highest donation in the Half Marathon was R11 742, while the highest donation in the Ultra Marathon was R10 000.

Celebrating these amazing individuals who went over and above to be our top overall fundraisers:

3. Lee-ann Whitehead – R24 999,93

4. Rebecca Gore – R20 029,28

5. Pierre Goussard – R19 950,00

6. Jonathan Hunter-Parsonage – R17 800,00

7. The Powerhouse Twins B and Lil – R16 155,00

8. Christien Durand – R15 136,50

9. David Mogotlane – R14 440,35

10. Louise Letman – R14 148,37

Thanks to the mammoth combined effort of our running community and their supporters, the top charity for which funds were raised on GivenGain was Mosaic South Africa, receiving R771 978,68 in aid of their programmes supporting orphaned and vulnerable children.

In second place was Hear Us, an organisation committed to financially assisting disadvantaged individuals with hearing loss to afford cochlear implants. A total of R278 075,16 was raised for this organisation.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA raised R225 520,29 in aid of animal welfare and protection, and was the third most supported charity on GivenGain.

Rounding out the Top 5 as the fourth and fifth highest fundraising charities were ILoveBoobies with fundraising to the tune of R163 324,92 and Groote Schuur Hospital Trust, which amassed financial support to the value of R144 535,10.
