Entry Details

Both TTOM Ultra and Half Marathon have a guaranteed entry pool for Blue and Yellow number holders.

Blue and Yellow number holders receive priority entry. You will be invited to apply on a first come, first served basis.

* If the entry limit is reached before the closing date to get into the draws, Blue and Yellow number holders who did not secure a guaranteed entry will automatically go into Ultra Marathon Draw 1 and Half Marathon Draw 1.

Criteria

A Blue Number is awarded to any runner who has completed 10 Ultra or Half Marathons, or Trail Runs; or who has achieved a gold medal in the Ultra Marathon 5 times; or who has won the Half Marathon, Ultra Marathon or Trail Run (any distance) 3 times.

Seeding

All Blue Number Club (BNC) Members must run a qualifier if running the Ultra and a seeding time if running the Half. This must be submitted before the profile update deadline.

BNCs receive preferential seeding. Unless the BNC member has submitted a qualifier or seeding time that seeds them in a higher batch, they will be grouped in a batch approximately halfway down the field.

Hospitality

At Expo, a dedicated area is set aside for BNC members to catch up with each other pre-race while enjoying a light snack.

BNC members also receive entry to the BNC marquee at the finish. Entry to either the Half or Ultra marquee is for any BNC members who have run the Half or Ultra respectively on the day of entry to the marquee. Celebrate your proud achievement and receive your double or triple laurels after your race!

Going the distance

9Miles Project works with disadvantaged and at-risk youth from marginalized communities in Cape Town (particularly the informal settlements in Strandfontein) as well as Elands Bay on the West Coast, and Sea Vista in the Eastern Cape.

Our vision is to offer safe spaces and structured after-school and welfare programs that nurture and empower vulnerable youth and build healthier and more resilient families and communities.

Transformation is achieved through surf therapy, food aid (including a community food program that serves 700 meals per day), supplementary academic support, life skills, and leadership training, educational trips, community events, and day-to-day mentorship and holistic support.

Our slogan “going the distance” is not just something nice to say. We walk a long road with people and passionately believe that everyone is perfect for their purpose, that human potential is unlimited, that with the right support all youth can flourish.
