Badisa Tygerberg is a Registered NPO based in Parow and delivers comprehensive Child Protection Services within the communities of Parow, Parow Valley, Connaught, Ravensmead, Uitsig Eureka, and Cravenby.

Statistics indicate that 50% of the children in South Africa are subjected to some form of violence.  42% of our children are neglected or abused, while physical abuse against children is as high as 34,8%. The office currently renders services directly related to child abuse and neglect to 962 households, 2948 individuals, of whom 1443 are vulnerable children. Not only does the organization render direct services to children at risk and their families but also aims to uplift communities through community-based programs to ensure that children grow up in safe communities to reach their full potential and develop into responsible adults.

As Badisa Tygerberg is only partially subsidized by the Government, the organization relies on the public, churches, and businesses to support our fundraising initiatives. The vision of Badisa Tygerberg is “Action today, excellence tomorrow”. This can only be realized with the help of donors, who can visualize the needs of others, and who are willing to lend a helping hand. Funds raised with The Two Oceans Marathon as a charity will enable the office to continue rendering child protection services and the establishment of sustainable development programs.
