The Two Oceans Marathon is a jewel event on the Western Cape annual event calendar, generating up to R672 million annually towards the local economy. As such, it is Africa’s biggest running event.
Given the natural splendour of the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon route over Chapman’s Peak, TOM is fondly known as ‘the world’s most beautiful marathon’.
Traditionally, the Two Oceans Marathon Trail Runs take place on Good Friday each year. Runners encounter exciting and exacting routes, suitable for both adventurous beginners or more seasoned and expert trail runners. Not to be outdone by the Ultra Marathon, the trail run through Table Mountain National Park boasts some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere in the world.
The ever popular and prestigious Two Oceans Half Marathon was added to the event in 1998, and attracts a sold-out field year-on-year!
