Lace up for off-road Magic at the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run

The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run returns on Friday, 10 April 2026, giving runners the choice between two exhilarating distances: ±16km and ±24km.

“We’re proud to celebrate the 13th running of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run in 2026,” confirms Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC. “After a pandemic-disrupted hiatus, the trail races returned to the bouquet of events in 2025, selling out within minutes and reigniting the enthusiasm of runners across the country. Since their debut in 2010, these iconic trail races have captured the imagination of both elite athletes and weekend adventurers alike, offering a rare opportunity to experience the beauty and challenge of Table Mountain’s trails. We can’t wait to welcome participants back for another unforgettable edition in 2026.”

Further highlighting the significance of the event, Wade Bromfield, General Manager of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon comments: “We’re excited to confirm the date for the 2026 Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Trail Run. With routes that showcase breathtaking scenery and true trail running terrain, every runner will face a challenge that’s as achievable as it is exhilarating. Whatever distance you choose, a memorable adventure awaits!”

Bromfield adds: “Trail runners will enjoy the same premium perks as Ultra and Half Marathon entrants, including an exclusive event T-shirt and a limited-edition pair of TTOM-branded Versus Quarter Running Socks. With each distance limited to just 500 participants, spots are set to fill fast. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable trail experience! Entries will open on Tuesday 20 January 2026.”

9Miles Project works with disadvantaged and at-risk youth from marginalized communities in Cape Town (particularly the informal settlements in Strandfontein) as well as Elands Bay on the West Coast, and Sea Vista in the Eastern Cape.

Our vision is to offer safe spaces and structured after-school and welfare programs that nurture and empower vulnerable youth and build healthier and more resilient families and communities.

Transformation is achieved through surf therapy, food aid (including a community food program that serves 700 meals per day), supplementary academic support, life skills, and leadership training, educational trips, community events, and day-to-day mentorship and holistic support.

Our slogan “going the distance” is not just something nice to say. We walk a long road with people and passionately believe that everyone is perfect for their purpose, that human potential is unlimited, that with the right support all youth can flourish.
