Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon announces new Versus Partnership: All 2026 runners to receive Event-Branded Socks

Stillwater Sports, the staging and commercial partner of “the world’s most beautiful marathon,” is excited to welcome leading South African performance socks brand, Versus Socks as the official sock partner of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) in 2026. For the first time ever, every entrant will receive a limited-edition pair of TTOM-branded Versus Running Socks, adding a new level of comfort and style to the runner experience.

“This partnership represents a meaningful value add for both Versus and TTOM,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Versus brings innovation, energy, and a proudly local success story, while TTOM offers an iconic platform that celebrates endurance, community, and excellence. Together, we will elevate the runner experience and showcase a leading South African performance socks brand on a global stage. In celebration of the collaboration – and in line with our commitment to resetting and redefining TTOM in 2026 – every entrant will receive a limited-edition pair of TTOM-branded Versus Running Socks.”

Meyer adds: “This is just one of the many exciting additional benefits we have planned for the 2026 event as we focus on delivering an exceptional, world-class race experience for all participants.”

The partnership aligns perfectly with Versus’ mission to inspire people to enjoy exercise through excitement and creativity, while also giving the brand a platform to pursue its vision of becoming the performance socks World Champs.

Versus Socks Co-Owner Jurgens Uys expands on the significance of the partnership: “Partnering with the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon is incredibly special for us at Versus. TTOM is more than just a race – it’s a celebration of endurance, community, and the passion that drives every runner across the country. Aligning our brand with such an iconic event allows us to connect directly with athletes and enthusiasts who share our commitment to performance, quality, and style. We are proud to be part of the 2026 event and look forward to engaging with entrants, celebrating their achievements, and seeing them experience our socks in action on race day.”

Going the distance

9Miles Project works with disadvantaged and at-risk youth from marginalized communities in Cape Town (particularly the informal settlements in Strandfontein) as well as Elands Bay on the West Coast, and Sea Vista in the Eastern Cape.

Our vision is to offer safe spaces and structured after-school and welfare programs that nurture and empower vulnerable youth and build healthier and more resilient families and communities.

Transformation is achieved through surf therapy, food aid (including a community food program that serves 700 meals per day), supplementary academic support, life skills, and leadership training, educational trips, community events, and day-to-day mentorship and holistic support.

Our slogan “going the distance” is not just something nice to say. We walk a long road with people and passionately believe that everyone is perfect for their purpose, that human potential is unlimited, that with the right support all youth can flourish.
