Every year many talented athletes from disadvantaged communities miss out on participating in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon due to financial constraints.
All runners who have completed 10 or more Ultra Marathons qualify for a permanent number. A Blue Number is issued to all runners that achieve this triumph.

The 45th consecutive Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon will remain on the traditional route via Chapman's Peak, Hout Bay and Constanti
Runners can qualify from 1 July 2013 onward.
Entry changes including Substitutions
Annually a number of entries are sold to benefit our charity (or charities) under the Two Oceans Marathon Initiative, TOMI. Please fill in the Application Form and send it to the office on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Generic Old Mutual Two Oceans 56km Marathon Training Programme
Runners will receive TWO race numbers. These must be worn without alteration one on the front and one on the back of the upper body garment.
At registration runners will receive their race packs including race number(s), registration bags and T-shirts if ordered. Runners who ordered timing chips will also receive these at Registration.
All standard marathons and races longer than 42.2 km will count as qualifying races, provided that they are held under the auspices of the IAAF (or ASA in South Africa).
