Two Oceans Marathon

QUALIFYING

All standard marathons and other races longer than 42.2 km will count as qualifying races, provided that they are held under the auspices of the IAAF (or ASA in South Africa).

South African Entrants

All entrants who competed in the 2007 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon automatically qualify to compete in 2008 and will be seeded according to their finishing time. All other runners are required to have run a qualifying marathon from 7 April 2007 to
17 February  2008,
or an ultra marathon within the specified time.

Overseas and Rest of Africa Entrants

All international entrants who competed in the 2007 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon automatically qualify to compete in 2008 and will be seeded according to their finishing time. All other International runners are required to run a qualifying marathon/ultra marathon from 7 April 2007 to 17 February 2008. International runners who are unable to run a qualifying marathon within the qualifying period may enter the race, but they will not be seeded.

Qualifying Standards

In order to qualify to run the Two Oceans Marathon, runners must have completed the distance indicated below in the time next to the distance:
