Summer is definitely here…finally! And December is so close you can almost smell the Christmas trees and taste the mince pies! December means some time off (for some), good times with family and friends, holidays both here and overseas…it’s around the corner. It also means that you should have started your training for the 2010 event. Online entries open this Sunday and it’s all systems go for an awesome 2010 race experience. Remember to visit our website at www.twooceansmarathon.org.za to find everything you’ll need to make sure you’re ready for 2010!
Online entries open on Sunday 1 November so be sure to enter early. Those running the ultra will need to qualify before they can enter so make sure you plan your qualifying marathon along with your training programme. There are a few marathons countrywide during November so why not try to qualify early. Entry forms will also be available in leading sports stores from the end of November.

It’s official – Chapman’s Peak has reopened after being closed for most of the year. To celebrate it’s opening the Two Oceans Marathon Team went on a tour and Bruce Fordyce joined us for a run from Hout Bay through to Noordhoek and back. Great fun was had by all and Chappies was abuzz with runners and cyclists just enjoying the weather and the views!
The legendary Cape Town Jazz Festival is scheduled for the same weekend as the 2010 event. If you’re coming from out of town, then make sure you book your accommodation and flights early to avoid missing out. Cape Town is going to be packed over Easter so get in soon.
