Whatever your plans, we wish you all the best and hope you have a fab time over the festive season.
And remember, it’s ok to take some time out from your training but

During the festive season, it’s ok to take a break. The most important thing is not the type of exercise you do – but that you get out no matter what the weather for some fun exercise as part of your Two Oceans programme.
The festive season usually means good food, good company and good
times…and maybe not so much training…and lots of guilt! But don’t take it too seriously – use the holidays as an opportunity and the one time during the year that you can overindulge and "let loose a little". New Year is a time that most of us see as an opportunity to consolidate and recharge for the coming months. Remember to visit www.oldmutual.co.za/twooceansmarathon for the latest training programmes and tips.

PUMA has launched the official 56km and 21km Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon T-shirts for 2010. Based on numerous requests from runners, they have made both of these shirts in their unique moisture management fabric for 2010. The 2009 half marathon T-shirt was made in a standard cotton.
The new race tees both feature the 2010 race logo and are cut to maximise performance and minimise discomfort during exercise. Both tees showcase PUMA's seasonal colour palette. The half marathon tee can be ordered when you enter. All 56km runners receive their T-shirt free. For more information, visit www.puma.com.

Over the next few months leading up to race day, we will be running a “Tell us your story” campaign in our newsletters. We want you to tell us about your Oceans experience – or maybe you have a friend or family member that has an amazing race story to tell us. Have you or anyone you know overcome great obstacles to get to the start line…and ultimately the finish line? We would love to hear from you and if your story is a good one, we will publish it in our race brochure in 2010 and will make sure we tell everyone about it. Please email your story to stefanie@twooceansmarathon.org.za. |
