A few weeks ago we started a novel initiative on our Facebook page called Ross’ Corner.
Renowned sports scientist Dr Ross Tucker from the Sports Science Institute will provide you with useful information via video and a discussion forum over the weeks leading up to race day. Every Monday Ross will post a short video on a running topic of interest, to help you gain some insight into your race preparation and to make the most out of your training.
That video will go out as a status update for all of you following this page (so if you haven’t already “liked” the page, do it now!), and it will also go into the “Video” tab on our Facebook page as well as our website. The video will be punchy, short (about three minutes maximum), but hopefully enough to point you in the right direction, be it on shoes, technique, training, diet or race information. The video will be linked to a discussion on Facebook, which you'll be able to find on the "Discussion Board" tab.
All you need to do is get involved, watch the videos, take part in the discussion, and ask questions if you have any. Lastly, let's aim to grow the community - if you enjoy a video, and you would like to spread the word, then click "share" or "like" underneath the video and let's get everyone involved!
