18 & 19 April 2014
Powerade’s Performance Centre at the Expo will showcase the modern age of sports training and recovery. One of the features includes the latest in sports recovery technology, the Lower Body Negative Pressure Chamber. Developed by NASA, this globally recognised advanced sports recovery technology was first used by astronauts in space to get oxygenated blood flowing to their lower extremities in gravity-less environments. This device is used by some of the world’s top performing athletes across all sports codes and speeds up recovery through the re-oxygenising of de-oxygenated blood following a bout of strenuous exercise. Powerade will also be running a “Train Like an Olympian” competition and one lucky runner will win a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate at the Powerade Sports Academy in London. Prize includes tickets to the London 2012 Olympic Games, plus you will get to meet and train with Olympic athletes and coaches.
To enter runners are required to visit the Powerade Performance Centre and purchase a Powerade 750ml concentrate. Runners will then receive a competition entry form and scratch card, which they are required to complete and submit. There are over 600 lucky draw prizes to be won and one runner will walk away with the ultimate experience, a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games! Finally, Powerade will be hosting a Q&A session with top athletes and coaches in their field with a focus on sports hydration, nutrition and training.
