Giving a Deserving Athlete a Start in Cape Town

Every year thousands of talented Runners from disadvantaged communities wish to participate in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon, but often many of them do not get the opportunity. In recognition of this fact it gives us great pleasure to inform you that Itheko Event Management will this year be hosting the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon 2010 Runners' Village. We wish to extend an invitation to disadvantaged/disabled runners deserving of this opportunity.

We Provide

We will be providing 50 Runners the opportunity to participate in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Ultra Marathon by supporting them, with the following: n Transport from and to the assigned pick up and drop off points around the country n Accommodated at a venue to be arranged n Meals over the weekend, this will include breakfast, lunch and dinner n Transport to the start and from the finish line on race day

n Refreshments while being transported from pick up points around the country to Cape Town It is our commitment to ensure that you, the Runner, have only one thing to concentrate on.

Selection Criteria

n Runners should be registered with a recognised and ASA affiliated athletic club n Runners must have qualified for the 2010 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon n Runners must have entered the 2010 Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon n Runners must ensure that application forms are completed in full n Application forms to reach this office no later than Wednesday 3 March 2010 n First Preference will be given to Two Oceans Marathon novice or women applicants and athletes who have never stayed in the Runners' Village before n Runners should not earn more than R3000pm and must provide copies of their pay slips, Identity Documents together with their photograph

Fax Aplication Forms to

All Application Forms, together with a copy of the runner’s entry of the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon 2010 must be faxed to 086 682 6551 or e-mail runnersvillage@itheko.com by no later than Wednesday 3 March 2010. Acceptance
