18 & 19 April 2014
When the road ahead seems daunting for all the runners taking on this tough challenge, Nedbank will be there to “Make Things Happen”. All participants’ supporters, family and friends are invited to experience the Nedbank Green Miles and Nedbank Spectator Spots to give their heroes some much needed support and recognition. This year, Nedbank have two locations at the crest of the respective last major hurdles on both the 56km and 21km routes.
The ultra event Nedbank Green Mile is located at the crest of Constantia Nek on Hout Bay’s Main Road, and the spectator spot is a “must visit spot” on the route. The site will host key entertainment hot spots, including DJs, a brass / percussion / marimbas & steel drum bands, cheerleaders, dancing girls and guys, race commentators, food and drink stalls and much more.
Plus, this year sees the addition of a second Nedbank Green Mile & Spectator spot, so half marathon runners can also experience the vibe. Positioned at the summit of Southern Cross Drive and round the corner as runners start their descent down Rhodes Drive, this location also has a history of great spectator support. Two commentator stations, a DJ booth, promo girls and dancing groups, school kids, plus a group of minstrels will ensure the thousands of runners have the necessary final motivational boost to turn for the plunge home. Remember, the ultra marathon participants will also catch this location as an added bonus. So what are you waiting for? Come and share in the action!
