Saying thanks

This is not a moMEnt, but a THANK YOU.
I would like you to forward my congratulations and thanks to the Two Oceans Team for once again “producing” a fantastically organised race. I am one of the “lowlife” viz a “walker” and for us the 3 hr cut off on the half is a challenge.

When I heard that this year the numbers had gone over 14000 I was very apprehensive. If it took me 4 mins to get to the start at under 10000, how long would it take for 14000? . The answer was that it took me three and a half minutes. The credit goes to your organisation. The other problem “walkers” experience is refreshments stations running out of water/coke by the time they get there.

This has happened a few times recently in Central Gauteng.
Very, very stressful.

Because of these recent bitter experiences, at the Two Oceans this year I grabbed two sachets and Coke from the first table I got to despite the cool weather. I was NOT going to suffer later in the race. I soon found that 100 metres later I was still passing heavily laden tables and this applied to each station along the Half Marathon route.
THANK YOU.

I am a Grand Master and have now done the race six times. I have four medals, twice having missed the cut off, but the fantastic vibe and outstanding organisation ensures that I am always back the next year. Thanks again.
