OLD MUTUAL TWO OCEANS MARATHON FUN RUN CHALLENGE – MANNENBERG

Over 600 children took part in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Fun Run Challenges on Saturday, February 21, at the Greens in Mannenberg. The 4km fun run, organised by Farnese Athletic Club, was won by Terrence Khan from Phoenix High School. Naiema Davidson from Easter Peak Primary won the girls event.

This event was the first in a series of four community Fun Run Challenges that will take place during February and March, and are a partnership between the Two Oceans Marathon, local running clubs and Western Province Athletics.

Entry forms for the Old Mutual Two Oceans fun runs will be handed out at each challenge. The main fun runs take place on Good Friday 2 April, and are open to everyone and runners’ friends, family members and supporters, especially children, are all welcome to join in the fun and experience the event spirit.

The top ten boys and girls from the Mannenberg event each won free entry to the main fun runs on Good Friday, April 2, as well as transport to and from the event.

The remaining challenges are scheduled for 27 February at the Khayelitsha Stadium, 13 March at the Hazeldene Primary School in Mitchell’s Plain and 20 March at the Blue Downs Stadium.
