The Tariro Foundation is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and was started by young professional females and has been running for 18 months. The aim of the foundation is to bridge the gap between underprivileged young aspiring females and opportunities for entrepreneurial, educational, personal and wellness development. Ultimately, our hope is that from these young girls there will emerge a group of intelligent, courageous and responsible young women who will lead South Africa and the African continent forward in business, politics and society at large. The Tariro Foundation focuses on the holistic development and empowerment of young black, South African girls. The organisation runs a three year program which runs from Grade 10 to Grade 12. They hold workshops run throughout the year on weekends at the school. The foundation's first fellowship group are about to complete their first year of the program.
