National Institute for the Deaf
For the past 135 years (since 1881), the National Institute for the Deaf (NID), situated in the Western Cape, is the foremost organisation in South Africa providing all-inclusive services to the Deaf and persons with hearing loss in South Africa and Africa. Our vision is to develop the full potential of every person with hearing loss. NID programmes and interventions include: Deaf Occupational Training (College), Deaf Ministry Training, Care for Deaf Adults with Multiple Disabilities, Deaf Elderly Care and Integrated Support Services.
Cost:R350.00 entry fee (includes entry, Run for the Deaf t-shirt and goodie-bag)
*Runners will be required to raise an additional minimum of R 1500.00 for the work done by the NID for the Deaf and persons with hearing loss. NID provides full fundraising support e.g. information, brochures, sponsor forms etc. which participants will need to raise funds for NID.
