Anex (Activists networking against the exploitation of children) is a children's rights non profit organisation of which the aim is to combat all forms of exploitation of children such as child trafficking. Anex was started in 2003 in an attempt to raise awareness on the issue of child domestic work. We aim to reach this objective, as mentioned in first sentence, through prevention and early intervention programs such as extensive training on human trafficking. The organisation has also decided during strategic planning in May 2014 to follow a logic model for reducing abuse, neglect and exploitation of children by building resilience in families as a way of reducing risk factors. Anex also hosts the national toll free helpline for human trafficking.
Cost: R2000.00 per entry (includes Anex t-shirt)
*Runners will also be required to raise an additional R2000.00 for the organisation to aid in the fight against child trafficking.
