#RunAsOne this Heritage Day
South African National Heritage Day is celebrated on 24 September every year, and celebrates the rich and diverse cultural heritage that our country has to offer.
Heritage Day is about coming together as a nation to highlight and celebrate shared cultural traditions and common cultural roots.
Former President, Nelson Mandela stated that “Our rich and varied cultural heritage has a profound power to help build our new nation.”
The OMTOM #RunAsOne campaign represents and celebrates similar values and ideals. While we live in a country with numerous different cultures, colours, religions and traditions, running has the power to bring us all together!
No matter where you come from,
what you do for a living or whether you run fast or slow...
For one day a year, thousands of runners gather in the beautiful Mother City to celebrate the beautiful sport of running.
They come together to run the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon.
They come together to Run As One.
